I want it to feel like our garden

The clients had recently moved into this 19th century Arts and Crafts style family home, with an existing mature garden, and a tired looking 1960’s swimming pool. 

Having sympathetically remodelled much of the interior in the first year, they were eager to update the garden to better fit their style and sociable family life. 
In response I created a garden for entertaining: retaining and levelling a large lawn for games, and adding a modern outdoor kitchen.

Areas of dynamic planting were created to enhance internal views, extend the seasons of interest, and bring a sense of privacy to the social areas.
